NOVEMBER 6, 2010 - The annual year end Caroga Creek Awards Banquet was held November 6th at the Perthshire on route # 30. Over 150 racers  and fans attended to receive acknowledgement for their accomplishments. Track announcer Clancy Miller was the Master of Ceremonies as the 2010 Point Champions, the King of Dirt Champions as well as lots of special awards were given out.

   The 2010 Caroga Creek Champions who were honored are Stock Novice, Nathan Armstrong; Junior 1 Rookie, Charlie Tibbits; Junior 1, Ricky Armstrong; Junior 2, Nick Scavia; Junior 2 Gold, Kenny Myers; Junior 2 Pro, Alyssa Swartz; Stock Light, Ethan Darling; Junior Sportsman Champ, Brendan Darrah; Stock Heavy, Craig Barker; Animal Heavy, Ed Schultz; Junior Slingshot, Jack Bublak; All-Star Senior Slingshot, John Smith.

    Also honored were the King of Dirt Champions who earned their titles in a four race series during the regular racing season. Those champions are Stock Novice, Nathan Armstrong; Junior 1 Rookie, Charlie Tibbits; Junior 1 Ricky Armstrong; Junior 2, Nick Scavia; Junior 2 Gold, and Junior 2 Pro both won by Alyssa Swartz; Stock Light, Derrick Golden; Stock Heavy, Dave McClear; Animal Heavy, Ed Schultz; Junior Sportsman Champ, Brendan Darrah; Junior Slingshot, Cody Clark; All-Star Senior Slingshot, Randy Meyers.

    Special Awards were Rookie of the Year, Joshua Ralston; Most Improved Stock Novice, Nathan Armstrong; Most Improved Junior 1 Rookie, Charlie Tibbitts; Stock Novice Hard Charger Award, Joshua Ralston; Junior 1 Rookie Hard Charger,Spencer Butterfield; The Wildest Crash (Junior Division), Zack Buff; Wildest Crash (Senior Division), Kristin Manley; Wild Mud Ride Awards for 2 drivers who found a mudhole left after a pre race rainfall, David Boisclair, and Dylan Archer. a Milestone Award was presented to Anthony Miller who won his 50th career win on 4/23/2010. He competed in 49 races at various speedways this year, winning 22 of them, coming 2nd 16 times & third 5 times. The Family Award was presented to the Armstrong Family where the 3 sons compete weekly at Caroga Creek Raceway after driving to the track from Lenox, Massachusetts. The annual Sponsor Award was given to Apollo North-East and  a special award was also given to Protech Unlimited for their support of the speedway.

    The High Overall Points Champion was Alyssa Swartz. Swartz was also honored as Junior Driver of the Year for her record of 24 wins, 9 seconds, and 6 third place finishes, earned by racing 2 divisions during the year.

Named Driver of the Year in the Senior Division with a record of 9 wins, 4  2nd place and 1 3rd place finish was Ethan Darling. M.C. Miller then surprised the promoters by awarding Tom Hall a trophy for his efforts in running the speedway on race nights, and Eric Miller for his efforts in doing the physical maintenance of the facility during the week, as well as his public relation efforts on behalf of the speedway.

    The final award of the evening was given to the Master of Ceremonies Clancy Miller. Miller who has served the racetrack as announcer,  public relations host, and webmaster of the racetrack's website has notified the owners that 2010 was his last year and that he was looking forward to retirement. Miller has agreed to continue to be the Master of Ceremonies for future award banquets as well as filling in as announcer in emergency situations. He will continue as webmaster until he can train his replacement. As he was presented his trophy, Miller also received a standing ovation from all of those present, and yet another standing ovation as he and his date were leaving the Perthshire.
